May 2019 Committee Update
Several Public Outreach Meetings Are Scheduled for May
As of this writing, there are several public outreach meetings in May on a variety of exciting G.O. Bond projects. The first was for the Youth Sports Complex at Centennial Park – Amphitheater (a G.O. Bond project), which took place on May 1. There’s a public outreach meeting for the Dixie Highway Improvements, another G.O. Bond project, at 6:00 pm on May 15 at the City Commission Chambers, 100 West Atlantic Boulevard. These are just two of the many meetings in May; check out the city’s Meetings page for more. Attending these meetings is a great way to stay informed and involved!
The Seafood Festival at Pompano Community Park
As you probably know, the 35th Annual Pompano Beach Seafood Festival took place on the last weekend in April at Pompano Community Park. Did you attend? What did you think of the new venue? We’d love to hear your thoughts; drop us a line on our “Contact” page.
Pompano Launches “Park Ambassador on Demand” Program
Our city has launched a new way to volunteer – you can become a “volunteer on demand” for our city in as few as five minutes. Check out the city’s Parks and Recreation page to learn more, or call 954-786-4119 to become an official Park Ambassador On Demand.
We’d love to hear your feedback on these monthly updates; please feel free to drop us a line on our “Contact” page.
As a reminder, you can contact our City Commissioners and Mayor on the City’s “Commission” page, at http://pompanobeachfl.gov/pages/commission.
Thanks again for your support. Let’s keep it going!
